Resources for patients with Diabetes

Diabetes UK are regularly updating their advice for people with diabetes regarding coronavirus.

TREND (a UK working group of diabetes nurses) have recently updated their sick day rules leaflets in view of the coronavirus outbreak:

At Ide Lane Surgery we will be providing support and care for your ongoing diabetes management if you are unwell. Patients can contact the surgery via e-consult or by phone.

For patients with Type 1 diabetes the diabetes specialist nurse is available for advice for managing blood glucose levels if you are unwell. This is accessed through the hospital switchboard 01392 411611 – Operator – then ask to be put through to “the diabetes nurse on call”.
