Prescriptions Advice

How do I order my repeat prescriptions?

You can order prescriptions for medicines that you take regularly if your doctor has given you a printed repeat prescription slip. To order your medicines - hand in or post your prescription request slip to the surgery or order from our online service.

Please allow two working days before you need to collect your prescription. If you want your prescription to be posted, please send a stamped addressed envelope with your prescription request slip.

We do not take prescription requests by telephone because of the chance of making a mistake.

Online Repeat Prescription Requests

In order to use online repeat prescription requests you will require a username and password. Please collect an online application form from reception.

Please allow 2 working days before collecting your medication from the pharmacy of your choice. All prescriptions will be checked by a doctor. Medications are also reviewed (usually every six months) by your doctor. If your medication review date is within the next month, or has passed, please let the surgery know (at the bottom of the form) and we will let you know if you need to see a doctor or nurse in order to reauthorise your medication.

Click below use, or to register to use, the online service.

Medication Reviews

All patients will have their medicines reviewed regularly and changes may be made. We use a selected list of drugs that are chosen by a local group of experts because they are safe and effective. All the doctors are familiar with how they affect the body, their dosages and side-effects. Our doctors have regular meetings to review new evidence and update their prescribing policy.
